In the sports world Zen energy connects to the winner of 11 Championships. The Zen Master himself, Coach Phil Jackson.
What precisely does Zen mean? It is much less demanding to answer the inquiry “What is Zen?”, for that answer we would need to be “Currently, in the Now, the present moment!”
The general purpose of Zen practice is to end up completely mindful, without a moment’s hesitation. To return home to the present moment; this is really where we live.
Thinking or living in the past, or in the future is only in our mind and is not real. Both past and future are not real; the present moment is the only thing that is concrete.
Zen leads us to “Wake up” and taps a profound state of awareness that is present in all of existence. Take a close look at nature and the animal world.
“Zen” is the Japanese energy for the Chinese word ‘Chan’, both schools of thought represent the Sanskrit word ‘Dharma or purpose in life’, which follow enlightenment or the power of the moment. Zen evokes a picture of sitting, standing or moving meditation and meditation simply just means being in the moment.
You want to meditate, just stay in the present, which is a gift by the way.
Living completely and genuinely right now makes every moment one of life’s crest affairs. Every moment joins with a significant peace and clarity. Every giving moment is felt to have unbounded profundity, importance, enchantment and vastly valuable. Zen brings us up close and personal with our actual unique nature and true divinity.
Words and ideas can be valuable but when not related to the present moment is liken to a car that runs out of gas. According to Eckhart Tolle the foremost expert in the world on the subject of the power of now, ask this question. “Has anything ever been said or done outside the now”?
Zen cannot be explained in words, because this would lend to limitation and the moment is never limited, that is why they call it Zen. Do not try to use daily world reasoning to understand the concept. Zen is like the wind or the rays of the sun, just feel it.
Zen is simply this moment and the pure essence of Love. Think about this, Phil Jackson won 11 championship rings with leading his team’s of young millionaire athletes with this very approach.
